Our Projects

Mzimkhulu Colliery

We are constructing and developing a fully-fledged open cast coal mine situated in Ogies, Mpumalanga province. The coal produced at this mine is destined for Eskom and other markets. This is a significant milestone in the company’s expansion programme.

Khanyisa Colliery

We have a controlling interest in Khanyisa Colliery near Ogies in Mpumalanga province. This is through a joint venture with Wescoal Mining (Pty) Ltd. In addition, we are contracted to process the run-of-mine and transport of the final product to the different markets.

Hlagisa Colliery

In 2012, we founded Hlagisa Mining in which Umcebo Mining, a subsidiary of Glencore is a shareholder. Hlagisa Colliery is an opencast mine that produces approximately 1.8 million tons annually for Eskom consumption.

Fuel Co – Khanyisa IPP Project

Fuel Co is a consortium which we are a part of together with Anglo Coal, Vunani and Liketh. Fuel Co will be supplying processed discard coal to the Khanyisa IPP Project which will be built near Anglo’s Kleinkoppie Colliery in Emalahleni, Mpumalanga province. We are responsible to manage and deliver the project.
